Stunning leather beaded dog collars made by the tribes people of magical and beautiful Kenya. This vibrant collar features gorgeous shades of red with some accent white beads in various striped patterns. No single collar is ever the same. Incredibly beautiful.
Masai people have beaded necklaces and wristbands for decades to tell a story of the wearer, their social and marital status, age and key events in their life.
The Masai women handcraft each individual collar using quality dark brown leather which they adorn with beads. A second layer of leather is then glued and sewn to the back. The collars also feature hand-cast buckles and clasps.
Please note that the bead colours and designs vary from collar to collar and from those pictured. The images simply give an idea of the colours of the beads used and the variety of designs. Each collar is hand beaded and unique.

* This is a rough guide only. Please measure your dog's neck before ordering, thank you.
In the image below you can see how the sizing works. For example a collar that fits a 12"-14" neck will fit a neck of 12" on the first hole, 13" in the middle and a neck of 14" on the last hole.
You can measure your dog’s neck using a tape measure, allowing a little slack for comfort. Alternatively, measure your dog's existing collar from where the leather or fabric meets the buckle (excluding the buckle), to the hole you use it on when it is fastened up on your dog's neck. Both of these methods will provide you with your dog’s actual neck size, which is what you need for the correct sizing of these collars.
Leather Care
Treat the leather well and it will grow even more beautiful with age. To clean, rinse in warm water then treat with Neatsfoot Oil for waterproofing or saddle soap. This will keep the leather healthy and supple. Avoid contact with salt (sea) water and chemicals (e.g. cleaning products, flea treatments).
