These lightweight dog high vis warning garments are light and roomy enough to be worn over a standard dog coat if your dog feels the cold and wears a jacket in the winter.
Quick and easy to put on. These warning / message garments have a wide neck and elastic at the front for an easy and comfortable fit. They have an elastic strap and clip buckle underneath to allow you to adjust the size depending on your dog’s girth. The elastic strap allows for a bit of movement which is particularly useful for dogs in post-operative recovery or for a bit of extra girth if wearing over a winter coat.
Printed on both sides along the length of the body (the same message will be printed on both sides).
Although we have been generous with the number of characters allowed, the more text you have the smaller the text will be. We do not advise more than 4-5 words in total. The maximum print area is 297mm wide, regardless of how big the coat size is. This means that on the XL and XXL sized jackets the text will look proportionally smaller than it does in the images shown, which are size Large or smaller.
Message clothing should not replace good dog training but they can be useful if your dog has specific issues or during a time in their life where they need a little good grace.
Care - Wipe clean or gently hand wash in cool water using a mild detergent. Air dry flat. Do not tumble dry, dry clean or iron.
Dog message jacket size guide
The coat needs to sit straight along the middle part of your dog's back, so the fabric sits flat and the wording is not obscured by wrinkles or folds. For this reason they do not sit at the dog's neck - they sit lower than the neck/collar. Please measure your dog to get the correct fit. Measure along your dog's back as per the illustration, from the shoulders to the hips.
Please note that the front and girth of the jackets increases as the length increases so bear this in mind if your dog is on the slim side. Very slim breeds like greyhounds and whippets may need to go down a size.
Size | Length | Breed Guide * |
Small | 29cm | Pug, Bichon |
Medium | 36cm | Cocker |
Large | 40cm | Springer, Staffy, Collie |
X Large | 48cm | German Shepherd |
XX Large | 62cm | Great Dane |
* Guide only - please measure your dog. Please note that there is a big difference between the X Large and XX Large sizes. XX Large is only for very large dogs like Newfies and Danes (not Labs or Dalmatians).
As with all dog apparel, please supervise while wearing.
Customised products with text made to your own specifications cannot be returned or exchanged.
