lol-they do have individual personalities Lise! Nugget the white one is a right nervy girlie at the moment!
I've already topped the fence off with trellis which should prevent foxes from getting in and failing that-one of my boomsticks should solve that problem...

Still a bit unsure to the surroundings.

Birds of a feather...

And running away from Vegas-even though all he wants to do is sniff their butts.

They're still scared of me,but Sage the grey one is slowly warming to me while Nervous Nerris is living upto her name. The more i let them explore the garden the better they should get while i offer them some tasty mixed corn. They spent quite some time scratching about under shrubs and it took its toll out of them cos they ended up having a rest sitting down in the Eglu.

They're settling down nicely although the white one is still running around like a nervous wreck when i approach.
When I kept budgies, & later zebra finches I found the white ones were always nervous & panicy. I've also found that white cats seem very timid. Wonder if it's to do with the gene...or something

My garden at that time was in deepest shade Tat so i set the camera to its 'shade' function and it came out like that! I find that colours at this time of year with little sun can often be wishywashy.
I like your theory about the white genome though and does seem right.

They're still timid.
But today all of them had the confidence to come up onto the decking!

I can see that Sage the Bluebelle (grey hen) is the boss,Nerys the White Leghorn is second in command (although occasionally she'll square upto Sage puffing her feathers up) which leaves Onion and Korma as the underdogs. They still wont eat from my hand, but they're allowing me to get a bit closer.I let them freerange the garden as much as i can and they seem to like running round the garden at top speed chasing each other.
Just need them to start laying now...
