Well its a good advert for a free range home bred puppy! I don't think they knew what they were saying cos their argument didn't stand up infront of themselves never mind everyone else!
I commented! :ninja:

That's not like you, you are normally such a shrinking violet Posted Image

Seriously, thanks for posting that Jen. Nic's right, they didn't do themselves any favours. Though to be fair, compared to some of the pup farms, the conditions were not too bad, still made me sad though Posted Image

Judging by the reactions of the boxer pups I don't think clean pens, friendly farmer and a bowl full of kibble were the norm. They were positively frozen and bemused! :teary_eyed:

Wasn't that sickening. And they don't want to go out cos if we left the pen door open they would not leave.... no cos they are so depressed and institutionalised

Their qualifications... they "like dogs" and of course it makes more money than cattle. Grand.

Very Jen, disgusting :depressed:

Using the term 'like' loosely though as any real dog person wouldn't find it acceptable to keep 500 bitches in a barn without ever stepping outside.

"We like dogs, they pay my mortgage" Posted Image Posted Image
and as for the exercise, well how many puppy farm pups end up in homes where they are not exercised and then rehomed for having behavioural issuesPosted Image That's one of the problems of being able to buy a puppy on a whim Posted Image

Puppy farmers don't care whether or not you have researched the breed, if you have basic understanding of the dogs needs, they only care about your money

Looks like they got the leprechauns gold - wasn't at the end of the rainbow but the back of a steel barn :teary_eyed:

Perhaps it was the camera spooking them?

How anyone can think this is right I just dont know, dogs are social animals, they need to be mentally exercised as much as physically in the majority. I agree that some of the shots there showed conditions far better than a typical PF but even so . . . ..30,000 pups a year to England ~ like we dont have enough coming out of Wales and Scotland already ~ mostly bred by Mr Evans or Mr Jones. :ranting: :ranting: :ranting:

We have a dog from Ireland, so do many of our friends, via The Dogs Trust. How many puppies are dumped when they can't be sold I wonder?

Hateful people, and dont forget docking is still legal in Southern Ireland, so I expect they fill a niche there  Poor dogs.
